Northern Lights Lounge

As darkness falls, Huippu transforms into the Northern Lights Lounge, a unique Arctic evening experience at the top of Kaunispää Fell.

Join us for a unique evening on the top of Saariselkä and enjoy spectacular views from the comfort of our warm and atmospheric lounge.

If the Northern Lights appear, you can watch them directly from the summit. When it is time to warm up, head back inside to enjoy the atmosphere of the lounge, with a warm drink and small local snack included in your ticket. Our bar is open throughout the evening with cocktails, drinks and evening bites available to purchase, and the Huippu Souvenir Shop is also open during the evening if you would like to browse local gifts and souvenirs.

The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and cannot be guaranteed. The experience is designed to be a memorable Arctic evening even when the aurora does not appear.

The experience

Available on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 6th November 2026 until 10th April 2027, from 21:00–23:30.

Price: 129€ per adult. 79€ per child 4-14 years. Free for children under 4.

 

The evening includes:

  • Return transfers from/to Saariselkä to Kaunispään Huippu.
  • Entrance to the Northern Lights Lounge
  • Warm drink and snacks
  • Host and guidance during the evening
  • Warm and comfortable indoor lounge
  • Outdoor viewing areas at from the summit

Return transportation is available from designated pickup points in the Saariselkä area.

The transfer back from Kaunispään Huippu departs at 23:00 to the designated drop-off points.

BAR & EVENING BITES

In addition to the warm drink and small local snack included in your ticket, our bar offers a selection of cocktails, wines, beers, soft drinks and small bites.

Settle in by the fire, enjoy a drink and the atmosphere of the lounge, or step outside whenever the northern sky calls.
